“Yardening” all morning

Removing planter soil and rocks lightens the load. From my rather large personal “hardware store” –because I have the spray paint–I want to “spruce up” the appearance of the wrought iron shepherd hook, and planter display.

“Yardening” all afternoon !!

I’m “on a roll”; I’m using the paint I have on hand. (And, coincidently, I have “on hand[s].”) Spray painting Shepherd’s hooks expanded from one… to another… and then a third. They won’t sell and I’ve decided to keep them and move them to my next address. Neighbors may think they are brand new?!

.

On a beautiful afternoon–weatherwise–I passionately adore working on projects in the yard!!

.

Visitors, today, were very generous!! I would say “free” and they insisted they pay. Several twenty-dollar bills were tucked into my pocket. Believe me: “Free”  is OK with me.

Encouragement for Today

I’m a subscriber to Encouragement for Today. Today’s message is “just for me.”

Remember I said yard sale “leftovers” will go to Habitat for Humanity?  Yesterday, a fellow resident here at Rainbows End told me Habitat won’t take this junk. I have no way to haul things to “the dump.” What’s a tired, discouraged old lady to do?

Keep busy !!

That’s what a tired, discouraged old lady does!! She drove into Livingston for grocery shopping and other essentials.  A stop at Habitat for Humanity and was told they would be glad to pick up all my “leftovers.” Hallelujah!! A stop at the RV repair shop to schedule furnace repair.

“Waste not, want not.”  It makes sense to “use up” some of my gardening stuff. A coat of paint transforms the appearance of well-used planters.

Spectacular beauty (at an earlier date).

Stormy morning

(Click picture to enlarge for better viewing.) Hard rain at 6:30 when I attempted to publish. The storm interfered with my satellite Internet reception. Still raining at 6:55 as I publish….
