New DNA “cousin”

Yesterday, I received an Ancestry.com notification of a new DNA cousin. Obviously, I felt compelled to research this individual. Well, that branch of my “Frantz Family Tree” is already well documented but I was able to add a dozen more “extended family.” Hallelujah!!

“Bitter cold air”

Couldn’t sleep so started my day at 4:30. “Bitter cold air” according to Houston TV meteorologist. Look at current weather and see the freezing temperature for this time tomorrow. Must cover the plants!!

.

March winds….

“Wind chill”  below freezing. My earlier understanding, freezing temperature tomorrow morning. I’m not prepared for “this.”  ~~~ Gratefully, propane tank is full and furnace is working fine. Oh so cozy indoors.

.

.
That’s a really, really dumb thing to say because, prior to May, my flowering plants will be gone. “Creature of habit”  (yours truly) has yard and garden inscribed in her brain!?

Ain’t no fun !!

I’d rather “climb trees.”  Ancestry.com far more interesting. I confess to procrastination. Hundreds of things need “downsizing”!! Too little sleep, too tired, too old, yada yada.

One hour thirty minutes (steady) and only seven-hundred-fifty-three deleted. How boring!!

“Cold hands, warm heart?”

Indoors, I ran warm water over my painfully cold hands!! Later, I’ll dash out to add more clothespins to keep the covers in place. Cold nose, cold toes, cold hands. Time to wrap up in my Slanket?!

Postscript: Ten minutes outdoors and I’m an icicle. I secured the covers, and covered Yellow Butterfly Vine adjacent to the bird-bath-fountain.
